Surviving Transit

Far from the forest.

Public transit is a reality for a large chunk of the population living in larger cities. It can be a cheap alternative to driving but, it can be pretty unsettling sometimes. Sickos, weirdos, creeps and germs make up a large portion of the “uneasy pie”. We’d rather be commuting to the chairlifts instead, but sometimes you can’t escape the underground.

So you’re on the subway, how the hell do you commute everyday without getting sick or beat up? Well, the best thing to do is make yourself as small as possible. Not literally okay but you know what we mean. Having a good pair of headphones makes all the difference. We all know how music can totally change the vibe, so the next time buddy is screaming at the window, pop on a tune and forget about it (New York accent).

Once you’re off the bus/sub, make sure to drown your hands in sanitizer. Alcohol based is the only way to go. I’d rather be clean, then sick and smelling like watermelon sunset… At the end of the day your two best travel buddies will be your headphones and germ killer. So come on now, get out there and surf that underground wave.
